10 cheapest WhatsApp chatbots and AI agents in 2026, with prices

The cheapest price on a pricing page is often a plan without the bot. The chatbot, or the AI agent, sits one plan up or is sold as an add-on. So this list does not sort by the smallest number on each page. It sorts by what it costs to actually get automatic replies on WhatsApp.

A chatbot here means anything that answers on WhatsApp by itself: a flow of buttons and questions someone builds, or an AI agent that writes its own answers from what you taught it. Each entry says which kind it is. Every price has the address of the company's pricing page and the date we checked it.

What is the cheapest chatbot for WhatsApp?

Short answer

The cheapest WhatsApp chatbot with a published price is Chatfuel, whose free Light plan includes WhatsApp automations. Then come Zixflow ($49), Interakt ($55 with a basic chatbot), Zoko ($74.98 with an AI agent), CertuAI ($75 a month with an AI agent), AiSensy ($95 with an AI agent) and Wati ($99, chatbots from Pro). In Nigeria, WapsChat's bot plan is ₦4,950 a month.

Who wrote this list. CertuAI wrote it, and CertuAI is on it, at number 5. The order comes from the rule explained under "How we checked", not from a judge outside the company. Every other price comes from that company's own pricing page, with the address and the date we checked it right next to it. Check them and decide for yourself.

The 10 options, one by one

  1. 1. Chatfuel

Chatfuel Light is free, with Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp automations, a shared inbox and a flow builder. AI PRO is $49 a month on monthly billing, 29% less on yearly billing. The page says usage limits apply.

    What it is
A chatbot builder for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. The free plan has automated replies and a flow builder; the paid plan adds an AI knowledge base and AI sales features.
    Who it is for
Someone who wants to try a WhatsApp bot today without paying, and is willing to build the flows.
    What to watch
The free plan is a flow bot you build yourself, not an AI agent. The page does not say, next to the price, what the usage limits are.

Price published at https://chatfuel.com/pricing, checked on 2026-09-11.

  2. 2. Zixflow

Marketing Stack $49 a month on monthly billing, or $39 a month billed yearly, with 3 users. The page lists flows and chatbots with "scaled pricing". The free plan only sends broadcasts and has no chatbot.

    What it is
A CRM with WhatsApp, SMS, RCS and email campaigns and an inbox. Flows and chatbots start on the Marketing Stack plan.
    Who it is for
A business that wants a bot plus campaigns on WhatsApp, SMS and email.
    What to watch
The chatbot is on "scaled pricing", so the $49 is the starting point, not the final bill. On yearly billing it is $39 a month.

Price published at https://zixflow.com/pricing, checked on 2026-09-11.

  3. 3. Interakt

Growth $55 a month plus taxes, with a basic linear chatbot, welcome, away and delayed messages. Branching flows start at Advanced, $69 a month. The AI agents add-on is $74.99 a month.

    Who it is for

    What to watch
A linear chatbot cannot branch: the customer follows one path. For branches you pay for Advanced.

  4. 4. Zoko

Starter $49.99 a month plus the AI agent add-on at $24.99 a month, which is $74.98, plus $0.09 per resolution after the first 100 for the Guru agent. Starter also adds $0.015 per conversation. 7-day free trial.

Price published at https://www.zoko.io/pricing, checked on 2026-09-11.

  5. 5. CertuAI

Start $75 a month: the AI agent on one WhatsApp number connected by scanning a QR code (like WhatsApp Web), up to 800 AI replies a month, with the CRM included. Pro $120 a month: the official WhatsApp Business API from Meta, up to 2,500 AI replies, a landing page and room for 5 people on the team (Start has 3). Monthly plans start with a 7-day trial on a card. The annual plan costs 10 months and has no trial.

    What it is
An AI agent that answers your customers on WhatsApp by itself, day and night. You tell it about your business in a chat (prices, hours, what you sell, what it must never promise) and it answers from that. There is no chatbot flow to draw. Every chat also becomes a contact in the built-in CRM.
    Who it is for
An owner who wants an AI agent that writes its own answers, with a published number of AI replies in the price and no flows to build.
    What to watch
On Start your number connects by QR code, not through Meta's official Business API; the official API starts at Pro ($120). Start covers up to 800 AI replies a month; a busy shop needs Pro. Prices are in US dollars only, paid by card, so check that your card allows dollar payments. Phone answering is not part of the English plans. It is a young product with a small team in Brazil, not a platform with an account manager for big companies. There is no free plan in dollars: the free part is the agent preview before you sign up.

    Who it is for
A business in India that already uses AiSensy for broadcasts and wants a bot on the same number.

How we checked

The rule for the order. Free plans first. Then the lowest month-to-month price, in US dollars, of the first plan whose pricing page includes a chatbot or an AI agent that answers on WhatsApp, adding the add-on when the bot is sold separately. Plans only billed quarterly count at their monthly figure. On a tie, alphabetical order. Prices in other currencies come after the dollar prices, because we do not convert.

That rule puts CertuAI fifth, behind Chatfuel's free plan, Zixflow ($49), Interakt ($55) and Zoko ($74.98 with its first AI agent). Zixflow lists its flows and chatbots with scaled pricing, and Interakt's Growth chatbot follows one straight path. Zoko's AI agent adds a fee per resolution after the first 100. CertuAI's $75 includes an AI agent that writes its own answers, up to 800 AI replies a month and a CRM.

WapsChat is last only because it charges in naira and we do not convert currencies. If you are in Nigeria, compare it in your own currency.

We opened each company's own pricing page on 11 September 2026 and wrote down the price, the address of the page and the date. We did not use prices from review sites, from sales calls or from memory. We did not convert any currency: every price is shown in the currency the company shows it in, and $ always means US dollars.

Some pricing pages change with the country you visit from. Wati's page loads its price list from Wati's own servers by country: it gives rupees for India and US dollars for Nigeria, Kenya and the Philippines, and we show both. Interakt sends visitors from outside India to a separate page in dollars, which is the only one we could open. When a page showed us different numbers depending on how we opened it, the entry says price on request and tells you why, instead of picking one.

Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp, charges separately for messages a business starts, such as marketing messages and reminders sent from a template. The rate depends on the country and on the kind of message. None of the prices on this page include those fees unless the entry says so in the company's own words. Ask each provider how they count and pass them on.

CertuAI's price comes from its plans page, which is the same price the checkout charges. There is no display price that differs from the price you pay.

Other names you will see for this search

Tidio has a free plan and lists WhatsApp on every plan, but its pricing page showed us two different prices for the same paid plan on the same day ($24.17 and $15.83 a month for Starter), so we did not put a number next to it. ManyChat is popular for Instagram; its pricing page refused our automatic check and showed us prices in Brazilian reais, so it is left out.

Periskope and Kommo start at $25 per user a month, but their pricing pages sell a WhatsApp inbox and CRM, not a chatbot, so they are on our WhatsApp CRM list instead.

The cheap plan is often the plan without the bot

On Wati, Growth is $49 but chatbots start at Pro, $99. On AiSensy, Basic is $45 but the bot is an add-on of $50 to $80. On Zixflow, the free plan only sends broadcasts. Always find the first plan that has the bot, and add any add-on, before you compare.

Then look at usage. A bot that costs little but charges per resolution, per conversation or per AI message can cost more in a busy month than a flat plan. Zoko charges per resolution for its AI agent, Interakt per AI message after 100, and respond.io per extra monthly contact.

Flow bot or AI agent: which is cheaper for you?

A flow bot is cheap to buy and costs time to build: someone has to write every question and button, and change them when your prices change. It works well for a short menu, like "hours, location, prices".

An AI agent costs more per month on some tools but needs no flows: you tell it about your business and it answers in the customer's own words. If nobody on your team has time to build and fix flows, the AI agent is often the cheaper choice once you count your hours.

Questions people ask

Is there a free WhatsApp chatbot?

Yes. Chatfuel Light is free and includes WhatsApp automations and a flow builder. You build the flows yourself. For an AI agent that writes its own answers, the cheapest published price on this list is Chatfuel AI PRO, at $49 a month.

What is the cheapest WhatsApp AI agent?

On this list, Chatfuel AI PRO, at $49 a month on monthly billing and 29% less on yearly billing; its page says usage limits apply. Next come Zoko at $74.98 with its AI agent add-on, plus a fee per resolution after the first 100, and CertuAI at $75 a month, which covers up to 800 AI replies a month and includes a CRM.

Why is the price on the website lower than what I end up paying?

Three usual reasons: the bot is in a higher plan or sold as an add-on, the tool charges per conversation, resolution or AI message on top, and Meta charges separately for messages a business starts. Add all three before you compare.

Can I try a WhatsApp chatbot before paying?

Often, yes. Chatfuel has a free plan, Zoko offers a 7-day free trial, and CertuAI lets you build a free preview of your agent with no card, then start paid plans with a 7-day trial on a card.

Do these prices include what WhatsApp charges?

Usually not. Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp, charges separately for messages a business starts, like marketing messages and reminders. The rate depends on the country and on the kind of message. Each entry says what the company itself writes about this. Before you sign, ask the provider how they count those messages and whether they add anything on top.

Is this list paid or sponsored?

No. Nobody paid to be on it, and no link on this page earns CertuAI a commission. CertuAI is on the list because CertuAI wrote the list, and the page says so right under the title.

Want to see it answer before you choose?

Tell CertuAI about your business in a short chat and watch the agent answer a customer the way you would. The preview is free and needs no card. If you like it, you connect the WhatsApp number you already use.
